Dream :: 08

Dream Effects (optional): A growing sense of tension, yet no fear or anxiety, just a sharp feeling of anticipation. Of something more lurking within. A warmth. The entire dream will feel very very warm.

Note: Ashura fell into a deep feverish sleep the night of the Yeti attack in an empty room in Mansion 1b and has not yet woken on his own. The dream is a trigger to allow him to wake again. (Not a sleep coma though, he's just been having it rough for a kid here...)

Warm gold eyes stared out into the deep blackness that went in all directions. Each step that small bare feet took left ripples in the water that stretched as far as the darkness it would seem.

The ripples disturbed the pale pink lotuses that floated all across the surface of the water covered ground, shifting and bobbing silently.

Despite the vast darkness and the lack of life anywhere in sight, the small framed child dressed in whites and golds did not feel alone. Instead there is a tension in the still air. Expectation hanging thick and prickling at the senses.

A curious gaze slid to the ground as a single deep crimson blossom caught Ashura's eye. And then a soft gasp broke the quiet.

Below the surface of the water was another pair of gold eyes, staring back. Cold and cruelly amused eyes. A smile curled on the other's lips and though this person was older and beautiful and mature looking... the child feels as if the ground at their feet has become nothing more than a mirror.

Thou is the one to spin the wheel and set the world on its path. Thou will tear Heaven asunder.

A chill shot down the Ashura's spine. The reflection's voice was silken and velvety all at once. Melodic almost, yet there was something sharp in the tone. Familiar and yet terrifying.

"The... prophecy? I want to stop Taishakuten with the others. Stop him from hurting or killing anymore people," Ashura's reply didn't sound as sure as he would have liked. His young voice sounded so... weak and timid after hearing the words of the other. It had felt so much like they had meant something more.

It matters not which heaven either. Rather all heavens. Thou will raze the wicked, no matter the world...

Ashura opened his mouth to ask what the they meant when the gong of a bronze-cast bell rang out, shattering the quiet. Whirling, the child searched for the source, but it was nowhere to be seen and yet heard everywhere. The waters at his feet rippled with each ring, casting small waves over the surface. Dropping his gaze back down, he was dismayed and perhaps unsettled to find the reflection gone.

Gong~

"Where... where did you go? Who are you?"

Gong~

Running forward, wide eyes scanned the distance, but all there was was the darkness, the water, the flaming red flowers. Literally so, as all the lotuses were caught aflame, small specks of fire dotting the inky black as far as the eye could see. Ashura felt a hot arm draped in white cloth and gold bangles slide around his shoulder and a long fingered hand fell over his eyes. He could taste metal in the air, almost... coppery.

Gong~

Ashura.

[The Dreamberry feed fades to black, the dream slipping away to deeper sleep before the mirror's face flickers on to illuminate the dreamer faintly, showing a small figure curled into a small ball in a darkened room. Their troubled face just barely visible, it shows Ashura stir from feverish sleep for the first time in days, but he does not yet wake... Finally the Dreamberry times out and all goes black once more, feed ended.]
